What would be a bloggers dream….i’ll tell you what…. A Bloggers Morning Tea organised by the lovely Nikola from Times Square Claremont with around 30 of Perth’s best fashion and style ladies all in one place! From far and wide our city’s most creative bloggers, stylists, and store owners travelled to gather for a fun filled morning of sweet treats, caffeine hits and some very dangerous window shopping.
With the gorgeous and beyond stylish Andrea. If you haven’t already gotten a hold of Andrea’s wonderful blog (AndAndrea) you must must have a read, it has some of the best fashion tips and finds! I never miss a post and you won’t want to either!
On a beautiful, sunny Saturday morning in Avion Way we all gathered at Sima 1920 Art. Whilst getting the chance to admire some truly gorgeous pieces of artwork we sipped on delicious coffee from Lemon Cafe and tasted some scrumptious sweet treats from Little Sweet Baking (btw you HAVE to try the Sticky Lemon Bars….out of this world). This was such a great chance for bloggers who are all unique in their own way to mingle and chat with fellow bloggers whilst swapping ideas, inspiration and stories.
As we moseyed on down the laneway into all the amazing boutiques it become increasingly harder to restrain myself from making some sneaky purchases…this could very easily have gone from a window shop to an actual shop which would have been very dangerous. Although I used to be a frequenter to Claremont, working and shopping there a lot I must say I haven’t been for some time and was SO impressed by the quality and variety of new shops down Avion Way. Here are just some of the treasures I found along the way….
Ae’lkemi what can I say… This store is every bride’s dream… housing some exquisite gowns that were breathtaking. Made out of some incredible fabrics and each one a unique one off piece. This shop is really something you need to see in person!!
Breathless, what a fantastic store if you are looking for something a little different. Think gorgeous full tulle skirts, amazing fur wraps, and bright pops of burnt orange colour. I have been slightly obsessed with tulle skirts for a while so of course I was in heaven in this store. Think Carrie Bradshaw… *sigh*
Tarvydas just another stunning store with some show stopping dresses….plenty of glitz and glamour, sparkles and nude tones there was plenty to see. If you are looking for a gorgeous piece to rock at that next fashion event or gala dinner this is the place to go.
CultStatus For someone like me who is utterly obsessed with accessories, this shop was like heaven on earth!! With some of the worlds best designers being stocked in here it is any wonder that the whole group of bloggers flocked in the door gushing over the products, touching and trying on everything… whilst probably adding up in our minds if we could justify buying just one of these must have accessories. From Valentino’s latest spike collection to the famous Alexander McQueen skull scarf (my personal fave) there was so much to feast our eyes on…this is one hidden gem I am SO happy I now know about!
Poppy Lissiman as soon as you step in the door it instantly makes you happy as the bursts of colour pop out at you. The whole store was filled with goodies but there was one thing I couldn’t go past… this fabulous skull and tassel necklace in the window (below)… Keeping with the on trend tassels and neon this is an eye catching piece of neck candy that I need to have in my collection!
These were only some of the fantastic stores we had the pleasure of visiting and I will definitely be back again in a hurry to re visit the laneway and hopefully pick up some treats for myself
Thank you so so much to Nikola for organising such an interesting and fun event. It is great to get the chance to meet other bloggers and experience the up and coming designers that are showcased in Claremont, I know it certainly gave me a lot of inspiration. Already looking forward to the next event!
If you haven’t already do yourself a favour and pop down for a visit to Times Square, there is plenty to see and do some damage on the plastic with
